Purdue Powerlifting is the premier club and competitive team at Purdue University, dedicated to providing a safe and inclusive environment to promote strength through the sport of powerlifting. The goal of this club is to form a nationally competitive collegiate team through the USAPL, represent Purdue University on the national stage, and help current Purdue students develop a network of like-minded lifters. Our club is structed in a two-group system: a general club body and a competitive USAPL team.
General Club
As a member of the general club, you will have access to various resources, opportunities for growth, and a supportive community of like-minded lifters. Upon joining, members will gain exclusive access to our Discord server. Here they will be able to connect with other powerlifters from different backgrounds and experience levels. Members will also be able to engage in discussions the sport, seek advice on improving form from experienced lifters and coaches, buy/sell/trade powerlifting gear with fellow club members, and participate in club events, fundraisers, and social gatherings.
Competition Team
Members who hit our team's qualifying totals will be eligible to join the competition team. While dues are higher, Competition team members receive all benefits of general club members plus more. Team members will receive custom Purdue Powerlifting singlets and competition t-shirts, the clearance to compete under the Purdue Powerlifting Team at meets, access to private Discord channels, priority access to collegiate/team meets, and funding to help offset costs associated with competition.
